從面板業起家的材料廠新應材，公司一度面臨裁員、出售危機，後來在非特化產業出身的新董事長詹文雄領導下、突破重重困難，擊敗外商、打進半導體供應鏈。
這是一個浴火重生的故事。過去主攻面板光阻的化學材料廠新應材，自2008年起本業連續虧損4年，在2011年黯然下興櫃，股價一度跌到剩下1.68元。
經過10年臥薪嘗膽，新應材不但在2022年重新登錄興櫃，同年甚至獲得台積電頒發的「卓越黃光材料開發合作與量產支援」優良供應商獎項，股價在今年最高漲到837元。而台新投顧也預估新應材今年每股稅後純益（EPS）將達9.54元，有望首度賺近一個股本。
